Business hours in Oslo
One of the big drawbacks of the city is that most of the stores and places of interest have fairly short opening hours.
The city wakes up at 10 am and the shops, local businesses and museums start to shut around 5 pm.
Shops
Despite being an important Nordic capital, business hours in Oslo are fairly reduced. Large shops and businesses in the city centre close around 6 pm. However, smaller boutiques and shops usually close around 5 pm. Therefore, we recommend shopping throughout the day and not leaving it to the last minute.
If you're staying in the centre of Oslo, you'll find shopping centres and restaurants that close even earlier.
Museums
The opening hours for museums in Oslo are no exception. It's best to take advantage of the mornings to visit them since they close around 4 pm in the winter and 6 pm in the summer months.
